Happy Birthday CARLY SIMON Jesse
I don't think there is anything much more than I can say to profess my love and respect for American Singer/Songwriter/Author Carly Simon than I have on my other clips bearing her name on my channel. But as it is her birthday, I prepared this upload featuring a song I have not previously done one for. It is one of her biggest hits, although not among my personal favourites but it has been most enjoyable reconnecting with it after so long! 'Jesse' was a single from Carly's ninth studio album 'Come Upstairs' in 1980, and it provided a #11 for her at home and a big #4 downunder where the singer had always charted well. Eventually the single was certified gold and considered a success for her. With an astonishing career going back more than 60 years; yes 60; Carly at 81 is still a stunning beauty and timeless, elegant vocalist and exemplary songwriter. ain't that the truth; she was a straight shooter. she was lovely to me, but over time she became more disagreeable and got herself into trouble with the law with her behaviour which saddened me, as I was so lucky to get to know her, and that softer side of her. An incredible vocalist.
